As part of the activities organized by the Emirates Lawyers Association at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, a specialized panel discussion was held today under the title “Artificial Intelligence in Legal Practice.” The session addressed the rapid transformations taking place in the legal profession amid the growing development and adoption of artificial intelligence technologies.
 

The session was moderated by Lawyer and Legal Consultant / Mohammed Ahmed Al Hadhrami, Chairman of the Administrative Committee of the Association’s Abu Dhabi Branch, who led the discussion on the evolving relationship between technology and legal practice, as well as the importance of keeping pace with technological developments in ways that contribute to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of legal work.
 

The session featured Professor Dr. Ashraf Fathi Al-Rai, Professor of Criminal Law and Cybercrime at Abu Dhabi University, who addressed a range of legal issues related to the applications of artificial intelligence and their impact on legal practice. He also discussed the questions raised by emerging technologies concerning legal liability, cybercrime, and the protection of rights in the digital environment.
 

The discussion highlighted the importance of enhancing legal awareness of rapidly evolving technologies and continuing dialogue among legal professionals, academics, and technology experts. Such dialogue contributes to developing a balanced understanding of the opportunities and challenges that artificial intelligence presents for the future of the legal profession.
